About Me

My name is Danielle Racioppi and I am a physical therapist who specializes in pelvic health.  After completing my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Marymount University, I worked in pediatrics then orthopedics before finding pelvic health.  After my first course in 2009, I was hooked! Many issues such as pelvic pain, incontinence, constipation, and urinary frequency are often dismissed as normal due to aging or pregnancy/delivery.  Yes, these issues are common, but it is NOT NORMAL.  You don't have to live with these symptoms; I can help.

Through my own pregnancy journeys, I experienced both the joy and pains that can come along. Recovering from three C-sections gave me the opportunity to apply my pelvic health knowledge first hand. I also realized how underserved mamas are during this challenging time in life. It is not easy to balance the demands of work, homelife, and self-care.  I understand this and it's why I think the convenience of getting pelvic PT in your home is so important. This is why I started Back To Me PT to serve mamas when and where they need it most. Because The Mama Matters!

When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my husband and three young boys. With a household full of testosterone I enjoy my time working with women, hiking, and practicing yoga to stay sane!

I thrive on helping women

  • feel good before, during and after pregnancy

  • recover from pain, delivery, and surgery

  • restore function of the core and pelvic floor

  • regain strength & trust in their body to get back to feeling like me again

Dr. Dani is exactly what I was looking for in a post baby PT. She made me feel so comfortable and open, like I could ask her anything. As a mom she really understands what I’m going through - physically & emotionally. She’s very knowledgeable and explains things in a way that is very easy to understand.

I would recommend her to anyone looking for a personalized, comfortable experience. So glad I found her!

Dr.Dani is very personable and made me feel at ease, all from the comfort of my own home!
In addition to manual therapy she taught me exercises to assist with strengthening which then resulted in a quicker recovery.

Kristen

Dr. Dani is extremely thorough, patient, and amazing at her work. I had such a complicated and vague issue and Dr. Dani went to such great lengths to get to the bottom of it. She worked tirelessly both in sessions and in between our time together to get to the root. I never once felt alone or that she would ever give up until I found relief. And WE DID! After years of struggle I am finally on the road to recovery all thanks to Dr. Dani. I’m forever grateful to Dr. Dani and look forward to working with her for years to come! I cannot recommend her enough; find relief and encouragement today with Dr. Dani!

  • I JUST HAD A BABY, IS PELVIC PHYSICAL THERAPY RIGHT FOR ME?
Yes! The first three trimesters were all about baby — now it’s time for YOU. Get a jump start on healing from episiotomies, tearing, C-sections, or diastasis recti (abdominal gap) Get properly checked for prolapse and learn how to resolve the symptoms Discuss sensitive topics in the privacy and comfort of your own home Eliminate the stress of getting out the door to make an appointment on time Schedule around nap time so you don’t need to get childcare Take time to pump or feed baby if you need to during the visits Treatment plans WORK because they’re tailored to your specific space, equipment, lifestyle, and goals Pregnancy changes your whole body + every delivery is unique + babies turn your schedule inside-out! This is why I take a personalized, whole-body approach to healing with each and every one of my patients and choose to offer the convenience of home visits during this critical postpartum time.
  • CAN MY KIDS BE PRESENT DURING THE APPOINTMENTS?
Yes, children are always welcome at your sessions. I like to include baby in the treatment for body mechanics, posture assessment, and exercises.
  • DO I HAVE TO GET A PRESCRIPTION?
New Jersey is a direct access state, meaning a prescription from your physician, midwife, or other health care provider is not necessary prior to attending physical therapy.
  • DOES MY DOCTOR NEED TO CLEAR ME FOR PELVIC FLOOR THERAPY?
It is always in the best interest of the patient to keep all their practitioners informed of your care. If you recently had a baby, or are in your first trimester, you should have clearance from your OBGYN for any internal exams.
  • IS THIS PHYSICAL THERAPY COVERED BY MY INSURANCE?
All services are covered under out of network physical therapy benefits. Many patients utilize their out-of-network benefits to receive reimbursement for these services. I understand and take into consideration all budgets. l limit visits to your needs, offer flexibility with appointment frequency, and provide you with a detailed receipt to submit to your insurance company. If you have any questions about insurance coverage or payment options, please don't hesitate to reach out to receive a worksheet to guide you on questions to ask your insurance company about your benefits. While this in-home pelvic physical therapy may be out of network, the personalized care, convenience, and support provided are invaluable investments in your well-being as a working woman or new mom. I am here to partner with you on your journey to pelvic health and overall wellness. The goal is to empower you to take control of your pelvic health and feel like you again, which is where the name Back To Me PT came from. Through education, guidance, and personalized exercises, you'll be equipped with the tools and knowledge you need to manage your pelvic health independently and build trust in your body to meet the demands both at home and in your desired activities.
